The Mitutoyo 573-706 Digimatic offset centerline digital caliper uses Mitutoyo’s ABSOLUTE linear encoder technology and has an adjustable main scale jaw for measurement of center-to-center distances, edge-to-center measurements, and hole diameters. This caliper has accessible function control buttons, such as Origin-set, Zero-setting, Inch/Metric, Power On/Off, and Data Output, and uses both inch and metric measuring systems.

Calipers measure the distance between two opposing sides of an object. They make inside, outside, depth, or step measurements, according to their type. Calipers are commonly used in architecture, metalworking, mechanical engineering, machining, manufacturing, carpentry, and medicine.
